News from BloodyBeaks

  1. Not gonna lie, I don't hate LOK as much as some others, but JK Simmons as Tenzin definitely got me to keep watching when I felt kinda "meh" at the beginning, and carried it through the slow/really bad parts.

  2. Rangers were ALWAYS good. 73 damage on average with a PHB only build at level 5.

  3. You can't just drop a number like that without explanation. 73 damage... when? Every turn? Once an encounter? Short rest? Long rest? Show your work some please.

  4. best I've got is 66/round, ignoring attack rolls, with v-human for cbe and ss, and with hunter's mark cast on a previous turn. idk where the extra 7 damage would be coming from though.

  5. That seems like best case scenario. By my math if you rolled all 6's for Hunter's Mark (x3) and Hand Crossbow (x3), got the +10 from Sharpshooter all 3 times, and have an 18 Dex (probably the max at level 5 with no ABIs), MAX damage per round (not including reactions) comes to 78 - assuming you hit every time with the -5 penalty. Still a pretty far cry from 73 AVERAGE claimed above.

  6. If you check their page the artist has plenty without Dr. McTits; unsurprisingly, Reddit only upvotes the ones that do to the front page.

  7. This made me ponder the difference between warm glass of milk and a glass of warm milk... 🤔

  8. Did you heat the vessel ("warm glass") or the liquid ("warm milk")?

  9. In flashbacks and visions only. Just like Roku in ATLA.

  10. Really? Doesn't "Dungeons and Curmudgeons" both sound better and make more sense?

  11. So...what would it actually be??? Because you can't just have the party enter the water and then boom dead, right? So there needs to be something in there for them to deal with (or fail to do so).

  12. I'm halfway through Oathbringer. I'm torn between wanting to read all of these comments, and none of them.

  13. This thing was cool the first dozen times but I am getting REALLY tired of it getting spammed on here. Not to mention I'm pretty convinced the site is a scam.

  14. Still trying to figure out if this size (puzzier) is legit or a scam. I really want one of these, and the designs on their website are very cool, but I cannot find ANY evidence of a customer actually receiving or reviewing their products. If anyone has any insight as to their legitimacy I'd appreciate it.

  15. Lucifer, if that guy was actually running hell, it would be a clusterfuck. If he can't keep a club open, he would most certainly run hell, straight into the ground.

  16. What are you talking about?! Lux is ALWAYS open! He's extremely good at keeping the lights on! Or, not, as needs may be.

  17. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that their capacity for decision making may have been impaired.

  18. To start with, yes, some people are definitely sexist. Unfortunately that's never been in doubt. It's a fact of the world.

  19. No, I don't think so. It's just part of the movie that happens to be showing this season.

  20. At this point I can't tell which of the comments are real and which are satire.

  21. Poe's Law: without a clear indicator of the author's intent, every parody of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of the views being parodied.

  22. For some reason this FEELS like the beginning of a slippery slope, but I'll be damned if i can figure out what's at the bottom!

  23. There is no "No" here. The player asked a goddess a question, the goddess responded. To our knowledge she didn't force the Fighter to put the egg back, they can still choose to keep it.

  24. Wow! Guess my DM home ruled it then. Anyway, thanks for the info!

  25. This guy's crazy, Clerics can absolutely use scrolls. They don't have a Spellbook to copy them into - that's only a Wizard thing - but they can absolutely use them to cast spells they don't have prepped, or to not use a spell slot.

  26. I’ve never seen a cleric scroll, but maybe that’s just me.

  27. That has more to do with your DM/ game/table than the rules.

  28. How do you use rods for unlimited grass??

  29. Trees turn back to normal after a while, so I hope you haven’t been cutting ‘em down lol

  30. I believe this is only true for fruit trees. Wild trees get knocked down. (I haven't checked though so I could be wrong)

  31. Lots of theatre lights are fresnels. (eh don't @ me techies. I'm old school) they're great but they're partly why stage lights are known to be so damned hot. Standing in a focused spot is like a teeny sauna of your very own.

  32. In the original You Don't Know Jack (an old trivia game show type of game) if you buzzed in before the host finished reading the question he'd get annoyed and make you type in the answer instead of getting multiple choices. My cousin and I were playing once when he did it on accident, and having no idea what the answer was typed "Fuck you".

  33. The party casts Counterspell, which activates a Glyph of Warding on the roof, casting Counterspell on the Counterspell

  34. This...this is fucking BRILLIANT. I'm reading the spells and not really seeing a RAW reason why this wouldn't work. Anyone have a reason my next BBEG won't do this with their lair to automatically thwart any and all spells of 3rd level or lower?

  35. because that wouldn't be fun (usually). limited magic immunity sounds like a cool thing to give your bbeg in theory, but really you've just told all the half casters and probably the warlock that they don't get to do cool stuff today.

  36. Oh, I wouldn't just be like "You don't get to cast lol". There would/could be plenty of ways to work around it and/or prepare for it.

  37. I didnt know this, I assume this is in the comics?

  38. I think it's in the Korra comics. Korra is talking to Kya about her relationship with Asami and Kya fills her in on the history, maybe?

  39. IANAL but an objection can be made for many reasons, basically because the lawyer making the objection believes that something was said that is (or should be) inadmissible to the court for some reason. In this case the objection was made because of hearsay, which means that the witness is relating something that a third party has said rather than their own experience or observations.
