A glowing commendation for all to see

After wrapping their 4th performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London, band members from Bonobo heard someone rehearsing on the hall's enormous 9,999-pipe organ at 1am. They convinced her to join in for their last performance and wrote her part in secret. The audience was not informed.

I'm in this with you.

  1. All those other little girls seemed like they were thinking about seeing their dad's as well.

  2. Perhaps.... but if you get 20k NCO's trained overseeing 180k soldiers, that would be quite a capable force.

  3. It was unlikely there was ever going to be any kind of closure with BTK. His arrest takes place decades later than when the show takes place. And the point of BTK was to be juxtaposed against the work they were doing in the department as someone who could not be profiled or captured using the methods they were developing.

  4. The investigation was ongoing. BTK took over a decade off of killing which stalled the investigation. It was only after he started communicating with the press and FBI that he was caught.

  5. A Ukrainian Anti-Aircraft missile was fired at a Russian Cruise missile and missed in the far west of Ukraine. The AA missile continued just over the border and hit a small grain processing facility (think farmers dropping off their grain in big trucks) accidently killing 2 workers in the middle of the night. At first it was thought that the Russian cruise missile was hit and went off course but NATO radar said it had to be Ukrainian. Ukraine denied it at first but eventually they agreed. Zelensky himself apologized to the families and even the families blamed Russia. There are something like 5,000 Poles fighting in Ukraine right now in several international brigades so Poland gets it and forgave them.

  6. I have no idea what the fatalities here were for the russians, but as soon as that first artillery blast landed nearby I wonder if their survival chances would have increased by simply sprinting at the trench

  7. There's at least 10 of them in the field area that aren't moving.

  8. He also live samples some of the organ music in real time. You can hear it when she stops playing.

  9. Gods damn I wish I was there to hear it. I love Bonobo and the pipe organ added so much majesty to this performance!

  10. This show is going to go down on the list of all time greatest shows in the world up there with Altamont, Metallica in Moscow after the coup attempt, Woodstock, Pink Floyd's the wall in Berlin and Lollapalooza 1 at Tinley in Chicago.

  11. They are techsperts. Techintelligencia. Early modern cyborgs. Regardless of how you label it, they are wielding actual magnetism, too.

  12. They probably all have ball cancer now because of all the electronics on their bodies back then.

  13. Espresso Royal used to be open to 11pm and other state st. coffee shops were open until midnight.

  14. Yeah! Raven is here too. Was surprised when I met an employee wearing a Call of Duty jacket.

  15. They've been here for a long, long time. Human Head Games was here for awhile also.

  16. I've never met him either, but I imagine that between him, Cheech, Chong, and Snoop, they could solve world peace while blasting doobs listening to there own bangers. Would make a great reality TV show

  17. When I was 16 I was working as a room service guy at this hotel in the northwoods of WI. The owner had inherited the hotel from his dad and he was kind of douche. He lived winters in Vegas and wanted a little bit of Vegas for when he came back in the summer to live at this big hotel he owned so he built this Vegas style night club and booked these sort of national acts. One week it was Willy Nelson for 3 nights.

  18. Burt Reynold's mustache has entered the chat.

  19. Bay Area. I married a Madisonian, and after we had our first kid we moved to Madison because we could afford a house here for about 1/10 of what it would have cost to buy a garage in San Francisco. Also because his Mom needed him nearby.

  20. The problem is that reparations are NOT just about slavery. The systemic and systematic abuse of Black people (slave or not) throughout the history of our country is horrendous. And it hasn't really stopped, either. Oh, they've changed the laws so that they can apply to the poor in general rather than minorities specifically, but because nothing has been done to address the harm done to them in the past, they're statistically in a significantly worse situation than white people. Which, of course, means that the laws that hit the poor more than anyone else hit them more than others.

  21. I bet the Hispanic vote drops another 5 pts this next election just based off San Fran's reparations and I'm a Bernie/Biden voter.

  22. I’m having a hard time seeing much resemblance between the three.

  23. The 2 sons look exactly alike imo except for the hair and the red head is pursing out his lips like a model. They look like their mom and a young Fraser.

  24. I've said this before and I'll say it again: I've never eaten Burrito Drive sober.

  25. I've eaten them sober and drunk. They used to be good. The last time I ordered from there it made me sick. Food poisoning sick. I doubt I'll ever order there again.

  26. reading between the lines: Mamie was mad that Jacqueline was younger and prettier than her.

  27. It wasn't hard to be prettier than her.
