  1. Lol. Dude thought he could barge in and lost. Now he's trying to spin a yarn to get out of it. He's not going to win the argument against this footage.

  2. They look stuck down. Not sure this is quite the same thing I was expecting.

  3. If he doesn't want to be called a billionaire, that's not hard to fix.

  4. I'd say the chances are pretty much nil. Personally, I'd want the benefit to be pretty significant to justify bringing it back.

  5. You’re saying swift and decisive collective action from knowledgeable experts prevented a large-scale societal disaster, yet the general public believes this concern to be an overreaction? That doesn’t sound realistic.

  6. There was a pretty clear difference. And that was the fear data would be reset. The vast majority of private wealth is stored on databases.

  7. If you're worried about a lawsuit, they would need to demonstrate you destroyed company property, including deleting or altering information. If you didn't, they can't prove it. If you did, well they still need proof. Logins, CCTV or something pretty damning is the sort of thing they'd need.

  8. You have to be 100% behind someone to stab them in the back.

  9. I recall in the early days of Tesla how he promised all sorts of things and people loved him, thinking he was saving the planet, but he had taken a ton of orders for cars and made.....none. A long time after the delivery date too. Made me realised he was just a snake oil salesman.

  10. The mental health argument gets me. Sure, it would be great to have better mental health. But they never actually do anything to improve mental health.

  11. I'm not sure on the exact mechanism they plan on using, but I really hope that whatever they bring in affects all parties equally. I have this feeling in my bones somehow they'll end up benefiting through the union attachment.

  12. Cap union donations like how business is capped for political donations.

  13. That could work. I'm just suspicious when one party is set up very differently to the other. I'm not entirely comfortable with unions campaigning when they're linked to one party, but if Labor could keep fund raising through unions whilst Liberal doesn't have that avenue it could present an uneven playing field.

  14. You proved them right by smashing right into the back of them. Feel free to get a lawyer, but pretty confident you'll end up with a bill for the lawyer on top of the ticket from the cops and no payout. Because the conversation will go

  15. My understanding is that the posters are the property of the party who is publicing themselves. Contact the party themselves and you can also inform the council. Council dictates the rules regarding these posters.

  16. This sounds extremely manipulative. But even if it isn't, it's very unhealthy. When the air is clear, you have to explain to her that when she gets upset like that and talks about breaking up, she's not helping to resolve your issue. She has to stop doing it. If you're upset about something, that issue needs to be the priority for both of you. If she's unwilling or unable to help resolve an issue you have with the relationship, then you don't have one worth keeping.

  17. The real disasters tend to be in movie musicals. Where they cast movie actors who can kinda sorta almost sing. They are literally cast off their name, in a role they don't have the capability of. And the worst I can think of is Emma Watson as Belle, closely followed by Russell Crowe as Javert. Belle isn't a hard sing, but if you need autotune to sing Disney, when the average karaoke singer can nail those songs, you're wrong. Javert IS a tough sing. And whilst Crowe can sing ok, the complexity was beyond his capabilities. One of the great musical theatre roles was played by a guy who didn't even rise to the level of understudy for a local community theatre production.

  18. I don't like this. I'm ok with a new hulk and thor, I'm ok with Falcon and War Machine taking on the mantle of Captain America and Iron Man. But there comes a point where replacing them all with the same type of hero just seems unimaginative.

  19. Will change nothing. Religious people are adept at only following things that suit their agenda.

  20. I'm suspicious of how much is being made out of the round 3 spray, like he's the only coach to do it. I suspect it's the apology that's attracted the media hounds, not the spray, which is ridiculous.

  21. The apology didn't help. But media hounds don't hear this stuff unless someone inside talks. Either this was over the line, it's a bit like his only trick, or it's just a symptom of another issue. But clearly, internally someone was put off by it.

  22. This is all rather odd. I see plenty of people are jumping to the favourite RA conclusion of abusive partner, but I'm not so convinced. The sudden change isn't what I would consider typical of an abuser. It's more like something happened thay he's struggling to get over.

  23. It definitely sounds like the start of being abusive. It starts slow. He moved her away from her family and is now deliberately pushing them away.

  24. As you say, it's slow with an abuser. This was a sudden change. And I may have missed it but I didn't see anything where the daughter is being discouraged from her family, only that he was withdrawn. To assume it will happen and then offer advice on that assumption is poor.

  25. Some areas of NSW are very strongly AFL. But in the metro area it definitely runs behind the NRL and union is also a big player. But there's no doubt the AFL has a strong presence. The jibes hide a concern and AFL has even become part of the NRL commentary. Just point out a crowd that gets the NRL people excited us considered a disaster for the AFL.

  26. NRL has been growing more rapidly in last few years in tv viewership. Afl western sydney and qld projects are failing. It’s been an interesting recent development

  27. Not sure about failing. They were always long term projects. I also wouldn't put all that much stock into growth patterns in the Covid era. It'll be an anomaly in many regards but we won't know what until later.

  28. Lol. I'd tell him to start any negotiations with a bonus equal to what she should have been paid over the years. Then an ongoing salary of $120k tied to inflation. Plus whatever else I could think of to make it fair. Even if I was leaving regardless. Just to see how he reacts. If he says no, then it can be sold as him not stepping up. If he agrees, he can see exactly how much his greed over the years has cost him.

  29. People thought that was a bad deal for Port at the time too, even though they cleared a couple of horrible contracts from their books.

  30. Did they? The feeling here was Polec was overpaid and Pittard wasn't ever going to be consistent enough.

  31. Something rotten down at North. The whole place looks like a massive mess. If you were starting over not sure you'd keep many players. And now clearly the most valuable piece they have is giving every indication he's halfway out the door 6 months after he was drafted.

  32. It's true, to be fair to them. It was/is fun to have a laugh about it, but I do get it

  33. Often the best jokes have a lot of truth to them. But I think they'll gets lost sometimes. Lol.

  34. Why is this a question? He kept trying to get away and didn't react even the first time he was swung at. 100% he is entitled to swing back then. Then the other person comes in and attacks him? But why did it take until he started hitting for people to intervene? Why did nobody stand next to him? I don't know what's wrong with this world sometimes.
