So somebody posted a image from this artists set a while back. But it was just the picture of Christ washing Trump’s feet, accompanied by some colorful commentary. I wanted to post the rest of the set that I saw, because I think it sends a very good message

A co-worker of mine says that using the word "Mormon" to describe TCOJCOLDS is just as offensive as using the N-word.

You know, as terrible as this is, I think it could be improved dramatically if one replaced "tithing" and "mission" with something like "small savings" (rainy day) and "big savings" (college or something in that same price range). For example, when I stopped paying tithing I still set 10% of my pay aside. Only difference is it got put in MY retirement account instead of the balance sheet of a multi billion dollar corporation.
Actually, since it’s primarily designed for looks rather than built to withstand attack, the proper term is a
This actually makes for a great metaphor.
Who here actually remembers the "covanents" they made back when they were baptized?
I don't even remember if the water was hot or cold
You'll hear it said here again and again, "no." is a complete sentence. You can be more polite if you wish, or you can elaborate if you feel like it, but you don't owe anyone an explanation.
Exactly this. I got one of these texts from a member of my stake presidency recently for stake conference. I said "no" and they pretty much shrugged it off. Saying no is not nearly as big of a deal as I was led to believe it is.
I knew about the existence of temple clothes and that there were signs and tokens before going through. None of this was from temple prep mind you, just happening to be in the right place at the right time for a slip-up from the adults around me while I was growing up. I learned way more from loose-lipped teachers and relatives than the temple prep class.
Yeah... Is that an exmo thing or do Mormons use the term shelf too?
My first MP said this a lot and proudly shared a message on Facebook recently about this concept. Little did I know he primed my mind for exmo lingo.
Take a guess at who will finish first.
They really drive home that it's #2, but we all know it's really answer #3.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Piano. Nice knowing you guys.
Im leaning on a piano bro
I too am to the right of a piano.
They are naturally brimming with love, Satan just pointed it in the wrong direction. It was better articulated than that, but you get the gist.
Filming in public places (like grocery stores) and harassing people trying to enjoy their only 8 hours off each week.
Especially considering that I don't remember it ever feeling like a full 8 hours off. There were always so many things to do that just got neglected through the week
I don't get the one where he's not washing feet. Is that supposed to be metal illness? Like the person is having an episode and he has to calm them down before washing?
I'm not sure what that one is about either, but I do find the break in the pattern significant and moving.
Waving the stupid white handkerchief.
Oh my God I thought it was the "bow your heads and say yes" but no this was definitely the precursor.
Going through the temple for the first time. Except “this isn’t right” turned into “ah shit, I’m in a cult” when they started chanting in a circle around the alter.
Yeah for me the warning bells started ringing when the presentation made clear how serious the covenants I was making were and nobody thought it was important to tell me what they were. I now know that the phrase for what was missing is "informed consent".
You have to use reputable sources like the Book of Mormon to claim the Book of Mormon is true.
This is really what keeps me from going back. When I was desperately still trying to believe someone stuck me in charge of the Gospel Doctrine class. Someone mentioned blacks getting the priesthood so while it had nothing to do with the topic I decided to pick the class's brains on what to do when you hit a "hard topic" and your faith gets shaken.
Remember that even if you fail you get experience so you dont lose either way. And let me tell you, its super usefull to know how to interact with your love intrest later on in life instead of being a cringe adult
Am cringe adult, can confirm.
Well this person just said I am “making stuff up” 🙄
From what I've gathered this comes across as them projecting. Ask for their sources on their claims.
If you’re comparing the badness of 2 words and you won’t even say one of them…that’s the worse word.
Came here to say this, I'm surprised this isn't higher
Favorite part of Steven's attempt to summon the suit was Marc's resigned confusion.

No difference. GQP is a term that just puts the Qanon stuff up front.
My goals are beyond my own understanding apparently.
It sounds like your manager needs to relax. When I worked for ODOM my management team was way more focused on your work output and how reliable you are than what you wore. In fact, they had designated casual days because they weren't really big fans of the uniforms.

Off the top of my head:
I like this list, but on number 6 let's call a spade a spade, shall we? It was an exaltation ban.
Flip it again: "No amount of testifying could make me deny the evidence."
This is fundamentally what I don't think my TBM dad understands. I made a comment about church history and he asked if he got someone really smart in the ward to come explain it all to me if that would be good.
D&C 1:38: What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth shall pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.
Yep. Literally this. It is Doctrine, full stop.
Who else is waiting to remove their records until Oaks is profit? 🙋♀️
I think a mass exodus is the only language they'll understand about how out of touch they are. Only question is if they'll care about the message when it comes.
