  1. I’ve been producing for 13 years, started making niche stuff that I really liked without much of an audience and then moved into more commercial stuff that people liked but I didn’t like as much… Now I’m going back to the niche stuff again because I realised how I feel is what’s most important. You can’t make your best stuff if you don’t like what you’re making!

  2. High passing tracks can lead to a mix sounding thin or sounding too ‘seperated’, so I would try bypassing the low pass in that section to see if you get more energy and weight. If the high pass is too extreme then it might sound weird when the sound jumps from bypassed to not-bypassed, in which case it’s probably best to leave the filter.

  3. You can drag your audio into the built-in sampler (or drag it into an empty space under your other instrument tracks and choose new quick sampler) and then adjust the pitch of playback, which will change both the speed and the pitch of the sample

  4. Have you got the same reverb plug-in open in UAD Console? My Logic will crash if I have Realverb Pro open in Console and then try add it to a project in Logic

  5. So sick! The art style reminds me of Gurren Lagann. Do you accept commissions?

  6. Work with artists and release as much as possible! Treat yourself like one too and get your name included along with the artists name on streaming services to build your profile. Always get yourself a split of the publishing and master (50% Pub if possible/ 1-10% Master) and don’t worry too much about charging for production until you have the streams and portfolio to back yourself up.

  7. OP, I think it’s super common to feel this way! Especially when a lot of music makers’ idea of success is making a song that does well commercially, regardless of what’s currently commercial.

  8. Not the worst thing that can happen to your 1st post in this sub, trust me... There are people here that like making stuff really weird even if your post was absolutely normal...
