You don't post all the bail- that's what a bondsman is for. You only post like 10% so 35k is really only 3500 which is nothing
A bail is set at a certain amount. You contact a bondsman who puts a lein against your personal property and you end up paying 10% of the total bail to get out of jail. So long as you show up to court you are fine and no more bail is owed aside from that 10% of the original amount you paid. But if you don't show up then you owe it and whatever it was that you had to use to put up to that amount car/ house whatever deal you had to make with the bondsman.

I’m an older millennial 35 and honestly I’ve not taken many vacations. I don’t have a passport and even my honeymoon was only a weekend. My travel experience in my life when I was younger always was a bad experience (I was sick) and I may have an undiagnosed agoraphobia. I’m also a female with no kids (aunt-ish, relating to this post) not sure if it’s at all related to age and life situation. I also have 4 cats and 2 dogs and with trying to accommodate care for them while away is stressful plus I’m just particularly a homebody. Travel away from home has always made me more stressed. Hopefully one day I can find that spending money on myself for a vacation is worth it.
