  1. This isn't the right time for even more division. We've had the first independence referendum, we've had Brexit, we've had Covid. We need a period of stability where we all work together to rebuild from covid and help make brexit work better.

  2. This isn't the right time for the union. We've had the first independence referendum, Brexit, we've had COVID. We need a period of change to work to rebuild from COVID and help make Scotland work better.

  3. The Scottish people said no less than 10 years ago and in that time, the SNP has done everything possible to make the union unworkable. They haven't even tried to respect the wishes of the first referendum as they demanded a 2nd just a few weeks after, but I guess that just goes to show the only referendum that matters to them is the one where they win.

  5. So is Corrie going to be hour long eps three times a week now, instead of forcing another programme in the middle?

  6. Inb4 the rest of the UK says that we/Nicola Sturgeon are "being different from England for the sake of it", even though England is essentially the only country in the developed world whose Covid policy boils down to "data, what data? Lets LARP "normality" to save the Prime Ministers career".

  7. So why hasn't she gone to the police this time?

  8. I don't think anybody should be penalised for playing it safe and/or following consensus expert advice. That's their job. If it doesn't pan out then so be it, at least they tried. England shouldn't be the standard for very much at all.

  9. The people from the culture from which the food originates.

  10. And you really expect everyone to agree or even care? Do we appoint "cultural appropriation judges" in every country to make sure we don't so something that a few people think is bad?

  11. I just want people to realise they're licking the boots of a millionaire TV chef and crying on their behalf when a lady from Ghana tells him his jollof is shit and he should learn how to make it better.

  12. We don't really care if you think we are "licking the boost of a millionaire TV chef" because that isn't what we are doing. We are pointing out how ridiculous this cultural appropriation nonsense is.

  13. Washing your hands has a benefit for the patient

  14. The Surgeon, in this example, isn't the patient.

  15. But getting the vaccine can help both the surgeon and his patients. It isn't rocket science.

  16. There are those of us who believe that humans lives are more valuable than money. You disagree with that?

  17. Money impacts lives. A lack of money can lead to poor health or suicide. Please don't pretend it's as clear cut as save lives or protect the economy. It is way more complicated than that.

  18. And maybe people like you need to show more care towards men. Not all men can fight off attackers. It is ridiculous for you to even suggest that. It is ridiculous to say that men shouldn't feel scared just because some men could fight off an attacker.

  19. Honestly, this is why I hope Sharon Carter isn’t a Skrull. I’m not sure why so many people dislike her turning to crime but to me it opens up some really interesting possibilities for the character and I’d like to see how they play out.

  20. I don't get that either. The reason she had for it made sense and I'm sure it would make even more sense if they explored it further.

  21. Back in spring 2020, my teenage daughter and I wrote a book reflecting on the raw shock of lockdown and school closures, and the implications for those growing up in the Covid crisis.
