I don’t have much experience (1 year securitas), and when asked a bunch of scenario based questions that I have had no experience in, I gave my best guess but it was obvious I had no clue. I also answered “I don’t know” when asked my biggest weakness. I hate that question.
I did 6 months of 2nd shift (4 - 12) and it just wasn’t for me, I could never get used to it. The last 3 months I’ve been on 1st (8am - 4pm) and I love it. It’s definitely busier, but I feel like a normal human with a decent sleep schedule. I just got a job at a hospital doing overnights and am getting ready to start. I don’t know how I’ll like the night shift, but I couldn’t turn down the money (over $10/hr more than what I previously made)
I question the methods in which that admission to guilt was founded upon.

The kind of companies that need gate guards tend to be the companies that want a reputable and affordable name. Usually this means Allied Universal or Securitas, the kind of companies that hire warm bodies.

Actually nowadays they typically post the salary for full time employees (not for hourly). It's usually derived from databases that help businesses understand what is appropriate for a certain position e.g. junior software engineer: $130k, senior software engineer: $170k.
If you’re referring to the “typical pay for this kind of work” section on google, those are extremely inaccurate. But no, most job descriptions posted by the employer do not in fact list salary/wage.

What kind of facility is it? Residential, work release, alternative sentencing, jail, prison? Depending on what it is pay scale changes drastically. In all actuality, I would leave asap or get into jail or prison which you’ll make more with most likely.

As someone just leaving the security industry for the corrections industry, just go straight into corrections. The hospital security will be nothing more than a year of your life wasted.

Outside of the fact that the US government can legalise what they are doing, what is the moral and legal basis that lets it simply take and sell assets belonging to private Russian citizens?
