I let my hypocrite, right wing sister have it this week. She is the same, minus the religion, weirdly. Someone who not only votes against women's rights, but will not stand up for lgbtq rights (they're coming for next). I'm outraged and sickened that her abortion 40 years ago was necessary but she now applauds taking that right away from others. I'm white-hot angry and disgusted that she will continue to vote for people that will target my gay son, sisters, and friends. I took.care of her and stood by her when her son died tragically. I loved my nephew and felt her pain. But all she can do now is tell me I'm evil for being liberal.

I don't like it for sanitary and allergy reasons. No matter how clean you are dander and dirt sift to the bottom and retain smells. Wood and laminate are easier to keep clean and last longer. Also in the long run it is more expensive, because carpet needs to be replaced at least every 8-10 years. Which then goes into a landfill.

Yeah, my MIL hates women also. Once at a family get together she decided to opine about how "boys are the best" and "that's why I only had boys" and top it all of with "all women are gold diggers and whores". This was all said at a table full of women. I reminded her that she did, indeed, have a girl that died in infancy and does that description of women include herself? Another woman at the table asked her, "if men are so great, where's yours?" She huffed off like the woman-hating idiot she is. You can't change her. Your best bet is to tell her you will not tolerate woman-hating BS around your daughter or in your presence. Then, because you KNOW she will continue to be a twat, limit your time around her (I recommend NC) and your impressionable daughter. Your daughter will figure out what this horrible woman is all about, but until she is older I would severely limit Grandmother's access to your kid.
