  1. Only in the US. In Canada where the cost of living is most often higher than in the US, Amazon only just gave the lowest paid workers a raise to the equivalent of $14 USD.

  2. The average house price in my province is around $1 million dollars. The average house price in my city is $1.4 million dollars, and regularly tops lists of most expensive places to live in the world.

  3. They have free food, for management only though. Have a peek in the management office someday.. Usually there is a table stacked with free snacks, pretty much everything that you have to pay for in the break room. Also, they have free "manager's meals" several times per week.

  4. US only though, of course. Can't let those Canadian workers who are already paid 30% less have more options than getting a CDL or worthless certificate.

  5. The only way things will ever change for the better is if everyone riots and lynch mobs go after the billionaires who have enslaved us. It will probably never happen though and things will only continue to get worse. Just over 2,000 billionaires hold more wealth than 4.6 billion people combined, and many Americans are happy to defend this system.

  6. Real estate in Australia is somewhat worse. Avg wage is $75k. In Sydney, median house price is $1.2m.

  7. That's about the same as Vancouver, Canada; except our average wages are much lower.

  8. ishkurs guide to electronic music

  9. What the fuck.. doesn't even have liquid DnB on there.

  10. Also driving women around. None of the women in my family drive (their choice). All rely on men to drive them everywhere.

  11. And where do you work? You probably don't.

  12. Currently I am a student so you’re right! But Jeff Bezos doesn’t care about you man. I actually don’t give a fuck about working at Amazon, everyone needs to eat, but you can’t come clown on fashion because you don’t like it or don’t understand it. Probably both honestly.

  13. Just because I work somewhere doesn't mean I support anything they do. This is just my covid job.

  14. May you be touched by his noodly appendage

  15. I don't think so. My parents have that exact model and it is 10 years old at the very most. They had another Kirby before that which was about 30 years old and it was the same style, but looked much different with more metal parts..

  16. It’s definitely older than 10 years. I’m 29 and I remember using it at around 12 or so.

  17. Okay, so it is a bit older, but not 30 years. I just looked it up and you can see it on

  18. That's what happens when you eat paste..

  19. Out of curiosity, are you able to read the reversed writing as easily as you can read normal writing?

  20. Is that supposed to be hard? I've always been able to easily read backwards and upside-down text.

  21. My hometown is fucked. There is a large contingent of antimaskers who think just because they know nobody who died, it’s all fake. If this is in anyway indicative of what we can expect from omicron, it’s going to tear through the town.

  22. Don't worry, in a few years there won't be any anti-maskers left.

  23. You'll get paid significantly more as an external hire than internal promotion.

  24. Nope. The HR manager at my FC sent out an email announcing double OT starting this week, then the site leader sent a retraction email 10 minutes later cancelling it, saying it was sent by mistake. Probably wants to keep all that money as a bonus for himself.

  25. Starting at L4 and up there are a wide range of Business Intelligence and tech related positions, like data analyst, program developer, business analyst/engineer, financial analyst, process engineer, data engineer, a whole bunch of software development engineer related positions, etc.. Many of these roles are related to ICQA. There is a large department called GCF ACES which basically runs and supports ICQA on the regional and national level, with a lot of analyst roles like this, and also are responsible for developing the applications used in the FCs, managing the petabytes of data generated, and creating various metrics used in the FCs.

  26. Some of them are. Each FC typically has at least one data analyst, financial analyst, and process engineer, and up to L6 can be assigned to a specific FC as a home base and travel a lot to other FCs across the country to support as needed.

  27. My friend was trying to pay for something but the machine to pay wasn't working so he just took it and figured he would just pay for it later. Got called in to HR, questioned about the incident, and terminated.

  28. That happened once at my FC, the vendor actually put a sign up saying to take what you want and pay later.

  29. That doesn't make sense.. AM's get unlimited free snacks in the manager's office.

  30. ? Mine's a wooden barrel. You guys must be at a bad warehouse.

  31. Ours have integrated wireless cameras so security can do the daily penis inspections remotely.

  32. He was married to her right?

  33. Learn that no job is below you if you currently have none.

  34. This is how you drive down wages and why employers expect everyone to be happy with minimum wage.

  35. We don't even get double OT. Few days ago our top HR manager sent everyone an email saying that we were getting it, then ten minutes later our site leader sent an email saying to ignore it because it was a mistake..

  36. In Canada we literally throw loonies and toonies ($1 & $2 coins) at strippers.. At least we did ~15 years ago when I last went to one of those places..

  37. For clarification, the strippers played a game where they'd turn around and flex their buttcheeks to the music while people throw coins at their ass, and if the coin stuck they won a signed poster of the stripper..

  38. If you're only T1 or T3, nobody is going to care. And beyond that, they only care if you're working in a competing business.
