  1. Such a haunting record. I listened to this while camping alone in the desert (not far from the original release event) and it was a legitimately terrifying experience. I think this is their strongest LP; it's cohesive in a way their other projects aren't. It may not be as fun to listen to as Music has the Right, but it excels in creating a mood and narrative without any words.

  2. Realistic picture of a mile high ancient temple in a rainstorm with a luminous fractal inside, in the style of H.R. Giger

  3. It’s an odd one, but my favorite is Only Lovers Left Alive dir. by Jim Jarmusch.

  4. I’ve always hated windmills… how they make… energy… with the wind… sustainably.

  5. The modern Planet Of The Apes prequel trilogy (while not better than the original 1968 classic) are all absolutely fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. The argument could even be made that each entry in the franchise is better than the last.

  6. Are you saying Rogue One is better than A New Hope? I will agree that of the Star wars movies made in the last few decades Rogue One is probably the best ( this isn't saying much ), but better than the original? Better than the film that started one of the biggest film franchises of all time? No, no this is ridiculous.

  7. That’s all I’m saying , specifically said I don’t think it’s better than original.

  8. I think you’d like the book “In the Dust of this Planet” by Eugene Thacker. Cosmic Pessimism is the school of thought it most closely adheres to… I definitely resonate with it…

  9. Yeah you all might be right … I suppose it’s just the main arc of Cole that doesn’t change, no matter what he does.

  10. Cole changes, he has an arc. We don’t know why he was in prison, but he didn’t exactly seem to care about anything in the beginning of the movie. He struggles with whats real and what the right thing to is. He falls in love. By the end he desperately wants to do the right thing, but he’s extremely confused by the whole ordeal so he goes about it in questionable ways. At the end of the day he does succeed in the mission, even though it cost him his life.

  11. I meant just the kind of journey of Cole … the arch through time … it’s in a loop , and is perhaps always destined to be a certain way. Maybe not though, I see the arguments that this is not the case … there is so much distortion between reality and madness, it’s hard to say … as you pointed out.
