  1. I won't spend another dime on anything Grilla. I'm probably in the minority, but almost every time I cook with it i wish I went with Rec Teq.

  2. Sorry for the late bump but I'm wondering why?

  3. It's a long story but I'll try to keep it short. Started back when the grill arrived damaged but not due to shipping. Bent door, chips in the paint, and the lid to both the grill and hopper would not sit flush. They sent a replacement cabinet door, but it was the wrong part and it took almost a month to receive the correct one. They sent a can of high heat spray paint for the chips. And had me unscrew and manually adjust the two lids. I got the hopper to finally sit flush but I could never get the grill lid to sit right so it still leaks smoke from the left side.

  4. I've done a bunch in quite a few different ways. I have settled on 250 until 130 internal. Then sear over coals in a weber kettle.

  5. I've owned a Silverback for four years. I say get a Rec tec or camp chef. If I was to buy a new grill today, it would probably be a Rec tec.

  6. I was an early adopter of the wifi board. Mine always worked fine. There was an issue with the initial batch of boards and connectivity. Gorilla explained it like the manufacturer of the boards didn't cut out a part and that piece was blocking the wifi antenna. They replaced (free and without issue) all those boards. Mine works great still and no dropouts.

  7. Them replacing without issue? Ha! No way. I'm still having problems with the control panel and they haven't replaced it. They've sent me a new faceplate and gone through some other attempts at fixing the problem but after all that the wifi still isn't working and it's unresponsive to the touch panel as well. I literally just came back in from unplugging my Silverback because that's the only way I can turn it off.

  8. I purchased a Silverback around 4 years ago. I have been less than impressed with both the grill and their customer service. I think Mark got too big for his britches when they took off and started to grow fast. They were adamant that anything that went wrong with the grill was not their fault. I hope that American Outdoor Brands actually improves the company.

  9. I got one from Walmart on Nov 5th, said it would be delivered by Nov 25th, arrived on Nov 13th.
