I had a friend tell me it's one of his favorite stories almost of all time and nearly rivals The Last of Us for him. Made me go and try it and I just kept trying to picture where the story ramps up to that level and I was maybe halfway or further in the game and I still wasn't seeing it and was getting bored.
I say this as someone who really enjoys Days Gone. The story is total shit. The voice actors were clearly directed by different people in different places. One character talking to another on a motorcycle yells over the engine, the other character replies in a calm library voice. It's all over the place and the story is dumb. The game play is super fun, even if it is repetitive.
I just could not believe that a nominally triple A title published by Sony would have such absolutely garbage sound engineering.

Hey Brandon, I just wanted to say, even though you will most likely never see this, that I (as an agnostic/atheist) find your response to be the most Christ like response from someone I have seen in years of growing up in the Christian church. You gave far more kindness than was deserved or warranted and I applaud you for it. We are all people, and we can all make errors, and you showed kindness and grace in the face of ridicule not only to yourself, but to those you care about.
As a new dad in the Western US I have yet to run into a mens restroom without a space to change my kid.
I haven't done diapers in 5 years, but they were not common 10 years ago when my first was born. How the hell have I been a parent for 10 years... I am glad there have been changes, that is awesome to hear!
They were very common in my experience around 15 years ago in the Midwest US. Most places had the fold-down changing tables inside the handicap bathroom stalls.
That is great! I live in New Mexico and it was about 50/50. I visited British Columbia and it was 100% of the places I went (I think by law). My brother lives in Japan and it is not a thing for men's rooms there (or wasn't 10 years ago). I am just glad to hear about more places being setup for dude-dads to dad! :)

I play with my two kids who are under 10. I get a lot of practice on escort duty making sure they stay alive. They will never know how awesome I feel when I lay an arrow into the face of a fuling from 200 yards who is about to shank them. :)

Does anyone else play with their kids? What do you do when they’re playing with you? We aren’t super far into the game, just killed bonemass. My daughter wanted to play and I wasn’t quite sure what to do while she was on. We picked some berries, scared her with a troll, and once she got the basics, took her to get some iron and clear out some crypts. We told her tomorrow we’ll go on a fun boat ride to bring our iron back.

So far, all the stages have been fun as a dad, but them being able to game with me, and joining me in other nerdy things has been really fun for me. My poor non-gamer wife has 3 PC's chugging away in her house and has to listen to viking battle cries.
I play with my 9 and 6 year olds. My youngest likes to play with the "doggos" and he mostly runs around on the spawn proof island that our main base is on. My 9 year old loves all things viking and he likes to go on "raids" where you take a boat to somewhere new and attack everything in site and bring back the loot. My 9 year old has also done all the boss fights with me currently in the game, including a no death run at the last boss, which was just an awesome fight. So ya, we do it all! For mine, they like all the super fun stuff, but they I end up doing the farming and food creation for the most part. The game has a bunch of good things to do together! Enjoy!

These are fines for the poor. Since there isn't any points taken from your license what is the big deal paying $100 for someone that can afford it. Even if you speed, most people just slow down in front of the cameras and go on their way. Not a fan!
You are absolutely right. Fines disproportionally punish the poor. I hate speeders, and red light runners and aggressive assholes in loud as fuck cars, but a blanket fine isn't an equal punishment.
Does the other pc get double the fps in the same bases?
There are three pc's playing, with the oldest and newest ones having the best performance and the one in the middle being oddly slow, but only on valheim. I'm currently starting it in Vulcan. It's really weird, because it runs nearly the same on the 2070 its got now, vs the 970 it had previously. I was hoping that upgrade would help it out a bit.

I'm pushing 50 too but I've lived all my life around some pretty rough looking characters ... I have city friends who lived in the lap of luxury who were 40 look like they were 20 ... and I have friends who have worked in mining and forestry all their lives who are 40 and look 120 ... I have one miner friend who has worked underground all his life who is about 50 with so many wrinkles on his face that it looks like a topographic map of the Grand Canyon after WW3, everything from the neck down looks normal, everything from the neck up looks like a 200 year old gnome

I hate the skill drain. So I work very hard not to die. It is an excellent deterrent and I wouldn't change it. Death sucks, but it should. I take plenty of risks, and I explore the mistlands a bunch in my Fenris armor. You can take risks and explore without getting killed. If you don't like the way the devs made it, it's easily changed with a mod, or using dev commands to get your skills back. Just play the way that makes you happy.
Seems like a wasted opportunity when abq was built to not have that strip of landscaping before the sidewalk. That way the dip is separated from the sidewalk. A few neighborhoods have it but far and few between

Depends on the neighborhood, but a lot of the sidewalks in the older neighborhoods have brutal dips when you go passed a driveway. It gets old after awhile.
