Did somebody say 'Murica?

  1. They all use the same playbook. It’s amazing people don’t see through it

  2. I think a good chunk of them do see through it, but like to use these excuses to get what they really want; To be in a hierarchy where they are on top.

  3. Zoey, confirmed traitor, brazenly using the microwave in front of the innocent and detective without either of them stopping her and both of them dying with laughter.

  4. This is a super old comment, but I thought it might interest you in knowing that when I open the pop-up video with RES, it gives me a more recent yogscast video. No idea why either.

  5. You’re 16. If you can’t, you can’t and if you get fired, you’ll be ok.

  6. Lol when looking up to see if they had any follow ups, their pinned post suggests they played oblivion 14 years ago. I don't think they are 16.

  7. Think they mean they’re impressed by the game still looking good for being so old.

  8. Yeah that's possible. It might just be the wording throwing me off.

  9. I'd tell him that if he hates women showing skin so much, I'd suggest he heads over to Iran and join the morality police.

  10. A large portion of MAGAs do not realize that they are supporting the tyranny they fear.

  11. I'm pretty sure a good chunk of them simply fear the tyranny they want, from the minorities they try to hurt.

  12. The factual truth is not pessimism.

  13. You started off with questioning whether democracy exists in America anymore so no, your comment was not just stating truths. And even if it was, leaving out certian truths can still be dishonest, and can absolutely be pessimism.

  14. Dump this stolen valor chump

  15. It doesn't matter who oversaw where it was going in this case because the organization, "on paper" likely qualified. It isn't like they wrote their fraud scheme into their grant application and whoever approved it just ignored it. It appears until now Feeding Our Future had positive regard in the community and operated more or less as they were supposed to. I work with several similar organizations doing the exact same work, minus the fraud (I hope). It's not abnormal for nonprofits to receive this kind of money and sponsor feeding sites. They probably would've been approved and received the funding either way. It's what they did with it afterwards that is the problem here, not that they received the money. There's extensive recording and reporting after they received the money which is more likely what got them caught. Even with the pandemic, dozens of shell businesses cropping up and suddenly serving thousands of meals when typical sites might serve hundreds on their busiest day is a red flag for child nutrition programs and it was probably a state audit that caught it. I can't stand Trump and wish him the absolute worst, but sometimes people just suck.

  16. You sort of poison your own well by going "likely qualified". It makes the argument for others. An extra pair of eyes overseeing these things will uncover at least some examples, which will then help with methods uncovering others. And the position exists for a reason, they didn't make the position in the first place just to have someone do nothing.

  17. It's simply not how these specific government programs operate. The fact stands that the Special Inspector General for Pandemic Relief (which is what I'm assuming the original commenter was alluding to) would not have anything to do with the oversight of this process until after fraudulent activity had already been detected. The funding does not just automatically go to these organizations, they are reimbursed by the state with federal funds based on participation rates AFTER meals have been served. That is key here, because that is where the fraud occurred.

  18. We were talking about removing someone who was overseeing and you also said "it doesn't matter who oversees it", establishing that there was some sort of oversight. We don't need their responsibilities to include reviewing "every single meal site application" and I doubt you even have access to all the aspects of that position and the information they have access to, let alone looked over it all.

  19. Maybe this surgery requires multiple adjustments over time?

  20. The possibility that the people in Martha's Vineyard wouldn't react with hate and racism did not, and in fact could not, occur to DeSantis and his sociopath constituents. Projection is their only tool for trying to understand how others think, because they have no empathy and no humanity. In fact, I guarantee that even now--having observed their actions--the DeSantis-supporting-scum are thinking the libs just faked their humanitarian behavior to make the repugs look bad.

  21. Ang given their projection and accusations of pedophile pizzarias, there is a good chance that DeSantis could use this stunt to learn a bit more about how to traffick humans more quietly in the future.

  22. It just occurred to me that this stunt could give DeSantis insight on how to do actual human trafficking in The future. Testing the waters and what not.

  23. If you are a GOP lurker in this comment thread you need to ask yourself why these people are running and asking for campaign contributions if they can’t win at all due to rigged elections. If there’s any actual truth to these claims then they are simply fleecing you and if this isn’t true then they are liars that can’t be trusted in office.

  24. I'm surrounded by so many republicans I can spit out roughly what they would say (editorialized to steelman them).

  25. If you spend it paying 99$ at a time, you won't kill even one.

  26. Manchin and Sinema are there as lightning rods, they're blocking stuff DNC leadership wants blocked. Isn't it funny how the party somehow always has a couple people doing what they do?

  27. O? Who were the other couple of people, considering you seem to be suggesting this happens all the time?

  28. Do you not remember Joe Lieberman? He blocked a public Medicare option among countless other "priorities".

  29. So your "the democrats always have a couple of people" is one person? I hope you have more otherwise this conspiracy is as deep as a damp driveway.

  30. I’m pointing out that this comment thread has nothing to with Trump, and neither does the article. When I’m talking about A and a bunch of internet stans start frantically typing about B it comes off a radically annoying and eye-roll inducing.

  31. It does because Trump or someone who supports him is going to be running for president next election and you are arguing against potentially voting for Biden next election.

  32. UNPAID sick time, from what I've read. I can't believe the railroad folks would rather tank the supply chain than let their workers stay home when sick. It's horrible. I think we need national rules around issues like this because clearly CEOs dgaf, whatever earns them a few more cents.

  33. I don't think the corporation thinks that the supply chain will tank. I think they want the government to crush the strike because they are too big to fail. Which is why no company should be this big. They should be broken up.

  34. Rowling has some seriously questionable world building choices. It feels like she is trying to justify her political opinions in the real world.

  35. That's why you ask 20 people and choose the clips you want to make the video.

  36. That is another feckless moderate excuse. It’s called a criminal conspiracy.

  37. I don't know if I'd call it an excuse. The republican party is holding the country hostage with a massive criminal conspiracy. There, done.

  38. Yeah, these people are going to kill a child one day. They should be barred from having a position of power over anyone.

  39. Billionaires are worth what they're worth because their skills are rare and no other reason.

  40. Other options for engineer of a car/rocket company? Those sound like they would be quite limited. Or do you mean they have other options like cashier? Or IT guy? Options that pay far less and are also underpaid.

  41. Yeah... I don't care about your dishonest talking points. I'm not going to waste my breath expecting you to actually listen to me explaining why what you posted is dishonest. We both know you are not interested in facts, but throwing doubt on Bernie. That's why you just randomly throw out yet another criticism of Bernie unprompted. Reminds me of this quote:

  42. You get Manchin is not part of the GOP right? This fight is self-inflicted we can't blame the GOP for this.

  43. Like I said. Way too charitable to the GOP. Who do you think is going to vote in favor of Manchin's deals?

  44. what story is gonna get more clicks, “check out these mid games that may not be worth ur time” or “best AAA u must play right now” and i also don’t get how u can see one article calling it great and say the general public who’ve played it saying it’s bad must be the scam part

  45. I would legitimately be more inclined to click on the former link, as I know that the latter title will be worthless bullshit.
