Io non sono un fisico (ho un bel fisico) ma ho molti amici fisici (bel fisico, chi più e chi meno). Quelli che non sono rimasti in accademia fanno bei lavori pagati bene, simili a cose che potrebbe fare un matematico applicato: molti sono in finanza quantitativa, qualcuno lavora in aziende che fanno machine learning, mal che vada sono finiti in consulenza. Mi sembra che trovare lavoro dopo la magistrale in fisica sia easy.

Papers on arXiv aren't "bad" per se, they just haven't yet been peer-reviewed. That means they could contain unclear or incorrect things, but it's still pretty rare for one to be complete junk. The main reason arXiv isn't a great place to learn from is that it's a rapidly-moving (hundreds of papers are uploaded every day) dump of whatever people are currently working on. Most of the papers are probably a bit beyond your level of understanding, to the point that you may not get much from them.

Hi guys! Has someone here a suggestion for a good book to get started on the history of ancient China? (maybe something not too heavy to read but still faithful to its history and comprehensive), thank you in advance!
Is there any periods you wanna focus on? Even if you want a "big picture" kinda book, different dynasties is different enough from each other and there is so many thing to cover.

Bhe... io son stato fortunato perchè il mio corso ha pochi studenti rispetto agli altri grandi corsi (parliamo di circa 30 studenti iscritti, ma solo una 20 frequentano).
