  1. Leichhardt and Haberfield having a very animated discussion, Summer Hill looking very elegant yet somehow nobody notices, Ashfield tucking into the dumplings, Stanmore just following Newtown around. Marrickville trying to copy Newtown and be as cool.

  2. pomo says:

Marrickville keeps talking to anyone who will listen about his homebrewing hobby.

  3. I didn't link to any damn metaverse subreddit, I just said whoosh. An expression from before the internet, let alone reddit, existed.

  4. I've been to Griffith a few times and I drove past the Yellowtail plant at Yenda. It's absolutely huge, the biggest or second biggest in Australia. They must be doing something right.

  5. Industrialising an agricultural product.

  6. I know lots of people who have two phones. One for work and one for personal use.

  7. Yep my Mrs is one. And of course I have a phone, and a data-only SIM card in my laptop. So we would look like 4 phones. Not to mention the phones of every person in nearby appartments.

  8. sigh guess I'm into dudes now.

  9. Nice! I have some MP-20 MMC's on their way to me. Was tossing up between them, JPX series or Srixon ZX-7's.

  10. Raise the height limit of apartments in the city and go nuts. Spreading out onto farmland to build houses the size of apartments with no backyards is the worst of both worlds, while also removing prime agricultural land.

  11. And causing all kinds of hassles for the SES rescuing residents when it rains heavily. Should not have people living there at all.

  12. If only they had a far right orange president who had control of a conservative majority congress that promised to do whatever it takes to keep brown people out.

  13. And who promised Putin not to bother him in Europe.

  14. Iš pradžių ir aš maniau jog reikia bausti tuos kurie nenori skiepytis, tačiau tai buvo iki kol atsirado omicron atmaina.

  15. Australia eased restrictions with Omicron, because, as you say, it is less dangerous. In my state, NSW, we are still losing 30-40 people a day, hospitals neared capacity at the peak, and we still get quite a few cases on ventilators. Much better outcome than if it were still Delta or the original strain, but we are getting over 20000 cases a day, and that is with 92% vaccination. Omicron is less deadly but very infectious.

  16. Yeah you might be right. I've just been using the carboys because it's what I've always used and I have a ton of them.

  17. That's why most American homebrewers do it, tradition.

  18. Until you all learn to just ferment in a 6 gal bucket...

  19. This is what I ferment in. Some yeasts still like to go for an explore.

  20. Makes me proud to be of Lithuanian descent.

  21. Labai svarbus regionas ir Lietuvos istorijoje, gaila jog užmirštas...

  22. Not forgotten, but neglected under Russian custodianship. They only care about the ice-free port.

  23. No way, Barbecue Master Race!

  24. Unsolicited feedback.

  25. But it DOES work to show how "me not using my thing means your thing doesn't work" is actually a really common thing, and that them repeating it in a funny voice doesn't erase that.

  26. The was a great video ad about an old "no seatbelt" wearer. Ended up in a crash, T-bone. His unrestrained head killed his son sitting in the seat next to him. Of course your moronic head not flying around the cabin at impact protects others.

  27. Yeah, I wanna be thrown clear of the accident, so I can somersault and land on my feet!

  28. And keep running home.

  29. I'm more impressed with your choice to use the word "meltdown." At least woke M&Ms meltdown in your mouth and not in your hand.

  30. In Australian teen slang, M&M's used to mean Mutual Masturbation.

  31. No, the only reason you don't want mail in vaccines is because you want to force vaccines on people!!!!!!!1111

  32. Wait until they force people to vote like fascist Australia.

  33. The similarities in the songs and how incredibly dramatic they are. Steinman was fucking legendary

  34. Love, Death and an American Guitar.

  35. The weatherboard kind of caught me out, you dont really see much weatherboard here in Brisbane. Is weatherboard a bit more common/standard for the lower end of the market in Sydney? I've got my own preconceptions from the brisbane market so I didn't give them an honest look/appraisal.

  36. There are lots of weatherboard houses in Queensland. All those Queenslanders up on stilts. What are they clad in?

  37. I have an electric leafblower. Runs on my power tool batteries. Makes 1/10th the noise of the 2 stroke ones. I'll blow my leaves wherever I want!

  38. Thing is, that is his plan from BEFORE his first 100 days and he achieved nothing on the list. Middle Class tax rebates, my hairy old arse.

  39. The funny thing is Trump was already president when he was asked about repealing Obamacare. They voted him in and he was still at a loss on what to do after he got rid of Obamacare. Its a tactic, telling the poor and down trodden that removing this thing will be good for them.

  40. And his repeated use of "the new health plan will be delivered in two weeks" which he repeated every week for three years.

  41. Some people still prefer to row their own gears.

  42. DSG my good man, best of both worlds. Mechanical gears as opposed to viscous couplings, but a computer doing the shifts with two clutches. Autos these days are not slush-boxes and many have manual shifting paddles on the wheel.

  43. Tissue, plastic medical strip.

  44. i'll either freeze em and wait for them to slightly thaw and it's almost like a slush, ro when i was younger i'd peel the top part of the plastic and eat it like a popsicle lol, it's just too good and too small to properly enjoy in liquid form

  45. That kind of negates the probiotic benefits of yoghurt drinks like Yakult. You are meant to take the bacteria in alive, not frozen and thawed (ie, dead).

  46. Isn't that some special kind of cured pork from Spain?
