  1. Me' I'd lose something like that loose in my pocket most likely. Unless..(and you prolly don't want to do this), I was in a coin store and they had a 1921 Morgan that was already holed with a bezel and on a chain. I'm not a chain wearing kinda guy, but I do have keys - lots of keys. So I put it on a keyring and it's now my pocket piece and I'm less likely to lose it with every key I own attached to it.

  2. I’ve actually been looking for a holed 64 Kennedy to make a key chain for my 64 Impala.

  3. Yeah, I think it's worth walking through and getting the crazy vibe and then continuing on. Just don't spend all afternoon there, and don't try to get food or drinks anywhere in a ~3 block radius; it's all super touristy overpriced mediocre stuff. There's amazing food all over NYC; don't waste a meal on the Times Square Applebee's!

  4. Had a friend drag a dozen of us up to Time’s Square, about fifteen years ago, so he could propose to his girl in front of the Rockefeller Square Christmas Tree… after the most awkward proposal I’ve ever seen, they decided (against my best advice) we should go to the Time’s Square Applebee’s, because they “didn’t want to spend a lot of money”… they were shocked when they found out that the NYC Applebee’s prices are WAY different than the one in the local mall.

  5. Ummm, who doesn’t get their shoes shined and then their dick cleaned on the way home after work?

  6. Occasionally, I’ll stop off for a knob polishing…

  7. I remember those TV boxes that you had to put in £1 to watch 1 hour of TV lol.

  8. American here… You paid for TV by the hour? Like, in a motel or something?

  9. No kidding. When I was in college in the mid 90s, credit card companies would set up tables in and around the student union and a few other places, and would lure in students. They would give away a hat or shirt if you signed up for a credit card. No job? No problem! You can still get a credit card! I knew a bunch of people who had a wallet full of cards, then got in trouble after buying a bunch of crap with the cards and then being shocked when the bills came in.

  10. I ended up with a credit card that had a higher limit than what I’d earned the whole previous year… I avoided the trap, but looking back, it’s insane to think about. No wonder everyone is in debt

  11. I thought the belt was black in this version. Glad to see that it’s not

  12. This… I was a big fan of the independent wrestling scene in the Northeast US, in the 2000-2010 period, and the suicide rate is heartbreaking. I chalk a lot of it up to CTE.

  13. Have an acquaintance who died in his garage, front of his young son, a couple years ago doing this…

  14. I was able to save up $25k at 25 by using the funds from my brother's wrongful death lawsuit to pay off my student loans.

  15. Lawsuit settlement also seem like a common way to “build wealth” where I’m from

  16. Yeah, this dude gave the money back instead of pocketing it and Osteen didn't even so much as give him a thank you until it hit the media. Even then he didn't thank him, if I remember correctly. Just gave him 20k even though the guy returned 600k. Osteen and the rest of those televangelists will burn in hell if there is one. Then there's the hurricne harvey shit Osteen did and the law they use to avoid paying taxes on everything from their mansions to churches and everything in between that's meant for the common preacher or priest, etc. Edit: Harvey, not Katrina.

  17. Changing venues. Pier 17 announced it the other day and all the original tickets are gonna be honored

  18. “Another reason can be attributed to hygiene standards in the 18th century. During this time, hygiene standards were lacking and bathing once a year was not uncommon. Families often shared sleeping blankets and these blankets were often the ones used by the chimney sweeper to collect soot, resulting in further repeated soot exposure. It was also not uncommon for children to work naked. The lack in hygiene standards coupled with working naked allowed for repeated skin exposure to toxins in chimney soot, a possible cause for this disease.”

  19. Lots of people read the Bible cover to cover on a yearly basis. There's tons of programs dedicated to reading plans.

  20. Picked up a house phone at a raging high school house party in the mid 90’s, to make a call, and ended up overhearing a conversation between a female acquaintance and her mom. Wish I could quote it verbatim, but her mom was basically giving her a lecture on being a better “peer leader”, it definitely felt like a scene from an after school special.

  21. It came back to Philly last month! But I’m pretty sure it’s a limited item.

  22. What about things that are still around even though everybody thinks they disappeared, like Netflix DVD by mail and MySpace?

  23. I believe that I may be the last actual subscriber to Netflix DVD by mail… I keep expecting them to cancel it altogether.
