YSK: As the driver of a motor vehicle, you are not being “nice” or “helpful” when you disregard conventional traffic flow to let someone go, you are creating traffic at best and causing accidents at worst.

  1. To be free from depression and have some energy. For Mitch McConnell to get his karma share. For the U. S. to recover its soul. To end the devastation to our planet and reverse global warming. To change the crazy gun culture in the US. Can To legalize abortion in the US.

  2. Looking for this comment. I mourn him when I'm in the shower listening to his music. Great loss.

  3. How do i get invites to these parties? People having fun.

  4. The problem in the uk is not all crimes are prosecuted. The Crown Prosecution Service can decide if they prosecute or not if it is in the "public interest" which as you can imagine varies wildly and IMHO is politically swayed.

  5. Sounds like the U.S. system with the District Attorneys deciding if they have enough evidence to bring a case.

  6. University ID is a number starting with 90xxxxxx.

  7. They said they arrested 4 people. They caught 3 at first and there was a stand-off with the last suspect who surrendered.

  8. I can't find anything about stand off or arrests.

  9. He could have been more clear. Friday is not possible right now, but if there is some reason why Friday is necessary for you lets talk about it and see if we can come to an arrangement. He also could have implemented a rotating Friday schedule so all of them had at least some Fridays off. First come, first served is usually unfair for one reason or another.

  10. Interesting to me to note that you assumed that the OP was a man, and I assumed OP was a woman.

  11. It seems that I am the only one who thinks this. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

  12. They don't give the bakers enough time and it really irritates me. We would get much better bakes if they weren't going fir drama over quality.

  13. I agree. The technicals really irritate me now (especially on rewatch) as Paul cuts into a perfectly rendered technical bake that he didn’t make, without a time limit, and then they expect the bakers to make something they likely never heard of, in a very minimal amount of time. I’d love to see Paul and Prue participate in the technicals. Or their own technicals.

  14. Bialys! These delicious individual bagel-shaped breads are best toasted with butter. I couldn’t find them when I moved from NJ to Southwest Virginia, so I started making them myself. They freeze well, so I keep a batch on hand.

  15. Woke up this morning, got myself a gun. The Sopranos.

  16. I do the same. Ditto with Trump supporters. I don’t care to know you.

  17. This right here. I live in the southern USA (always a Yankee). The faux politeness of some of their driving habits, combined with their unrighteousness anger when someone else doesn’t follow their ass-backward thinking drives me crazy. They absolutely refuse to do the zipper merge and try to block those of us who do. Idiots.

  18. Just found one today exploring on a run. There’s a pretty cool trail at the end of heartwood crossing up north main past maple ridge. I only explored about 3/4 a mile but seemed like it kept going for a decent bit.

  19. That trail is on private property. I believe the owner is Travis Miller.

  20. I wasn’t sure because I didn’t see any private property signs. Do you know if he allows people to run on it or should I cross this off my list of running spots?

  21. Wait, I think his name is Travis Smith, he’s a woodworker. I know him because I was trespassing on his lovely trails with my dog and came across him once. He was very friendly and didn’t seem to mind me using them. That was at least 7 years ago. The fact that he hasn’t posted signs may be an indication that he’s okay with it.

  22. I finally had a child at 36, afraid that I was going to miss motherhood. I should have missed it. I was not the best parent to my child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (undiagnosed until 17 - but not for lack of trying and support). He felt like a burden to me, and no matter how I tried to hide it, I believe he knows. I find him hard to love or like maybe. He’s and adult now, living alone, on disability. I feel huge guilt over my parenting. My husband and friends and therapist all say I’m too hard on myself but I know in my heart he deserved and deserves a better parent. There are no take backs in parenting.

  23. I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t even begin to imagine the loss of a twin. Hang in there. Sending virtual hugs.

  24. I have autism and a sensory processing disorder. While I never would have thrown that much food away just bc I didn’t like it, some of this reminds me of when I was younger. She definitely seems to have sensory issues with food, but another telling sign is that she needs her routine to feel safe. When I was a kid I would freak out if school delayed lunch or something, for some reason if it didn’t happen on time it didn’t feel like it would happen at all. My suggestion would be some behavioral therapy to help find better coping mechanisms, I’m more high functioning now bc I had so much help getting the tools I needed to function. Also buying her a few simple meals she will definitely eat, and teaching her to make them. For me this was always microwave mac and cheese or something like that. It can be really helpful knowing you have a backup if you need it. Autism is under diagnosed in girls, and this poor girl sounds like she needs some guidance and support to work on this behavior.

  25. My daughter had undiagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder until she was 17. I’d had her to psychiatrists and psychologists since she was 8. I asked repeatedly if she could have Asperger’s (back then that’s what it was called) but was told no, over and over. So, I thought I had a very unpleasant, entitled child who I found very hard to like. Finally they agreed to test her, and we found out. Clearly sounds like BF’s daughter has undiagnosed condition and is not merely entitled. It takes entirely too much effort to have that much of a melt=down unless you can’t help it.
