NTA in this current situation I think it'd be fully understandable if you don't want a hug. Also you were right not to invite her to your wedding considering your mother and her family were all there.
NTA.. if she goes in for a hug, stick your hand out to shake her hand ..thatโll stop her. Take hand sanitizer.. God knows where her hands have been. ๐๐๐
lol!!! Hand sanitizer!!! love it! Use it immediately after shaking her hand and make it very obvious that you are NOT using the sanitizer for anyone else!
NTA, but go with how you feel in the moment. You don't have to plan, nor do you need to force it. Just be kind and respectful and do what feels right to you.

I understand you might not like her, but you shouldn't be rude to her. She was never "the other woman". She wasn't remotely responsible for your parents breaking up. She's just some woman your dad met years after they split up.
YTA, just because you haven't mentioned a single thing in your post to say your step-mom is mean to you or your family. Why not just be nice? Just treat her like you would any other person. Maybe just say "oh. I'm not a big hugger but it's really nice to meet you" or something like that. idk.... seems like you're being proud but there's a lot not mentioned on the post too.

NTA either say upfront to both no hugging from either rod them because of Covid. You can get away with that for another year atleast.
My answer to that would be: Sorry.. because of covid, i'd rather not hug... let's fist bump!

Welcome to
NTA. Oh no. No hugs. Eek.
NTA. She's a stranger who happens to be dating your dad. If she tries to hug you, offer a hand. If your dad starts drama, he's the one starting drama.
NTA for not wanting to hug during covid.
I'm sorry, did you not read the full reason of why she didn't get invited?
While I agree it's not the kids place to judge the situation that has nothing to do with why she was not invited to the wedding.
Are you typically a hugger? I ask because Iโm not, so it may be easy to just extend a hand to her first..?
Lol, "new mom" is a weird way to put it. A step mom is not a "new mom".
I'm not really a hugger, and Covid has made me even less so! Can I just come in hot with "air high fives" and "elbow bumps" for everyone?!
