What is your favourite number?

  1. 12 definitely, when I was a little kid I made a paper airplane and I wrote random numbers on its wings, I then decide that adding up these numbers will result in my lucky number, I wrote the numbers:8,2 and 5 and because I was a dumb 3 or 4 year old I thought that adding them up resulted in 12 and so it became my lucky number

  2. I think 12 is my favourite because that's how high they counted in Sesame Street songs like pinball one and the ladybugs' picnic. Always so exciting when the pinball number was 12!

  3. 12 is also really cool bc it has a lot of factors, instead of being taught to count in tens we should be counting in twelves

  4. I’ve joked that I’m going to raise my child believing that base 12 is actually the universal number system. It is not turning out that way. Probably good.

  5. I remember having a meltdown in Kindergarten because I couldn’t write my 8’s neatly. My dad suggested that I just draw two circles on top of each other to make it easier but I was convinced that was lame.

  6. Woah, that is an extremely interesting pattern. Especially since 2/7 = 2 * 1/7, and etc. I wonder if that's a unique pattern. There's bound to be an interesting proof for that behaviour.

  7. I love and hate this number, it's very weird to explain but for some reason I never had one best friend, in truth I wanted a close friend, just one, but everytime I got one, another also came, so every time my friend circles were 3 people or more, never managed to have only 1, thus never had a deep connection to a friend (which I wanted bc I had friends that had best friends and walked in duos and I wanted that too)

  8. Surprised this isn’t more people’s favorite honestly. It’s my favorite because my favorite soccer player was 9 growing up. Now that I am older, I notice most “star” players are 9 in soccer.

  9. The reason 9 is my favorite is because, at least for the first 9 digits, 9 times whatever number always will equal 9 when you add the number in the ten's place and one's place together. For example, 9x3=27. 2+7=9. 9x6=54. 5+4=9. Also, 9 times X will also have X-1 as the number in the ten's place.

  10. This number is iconic in my life. In my birthday I have four 9’s. When I was a kid my number in sports was always 9. I also prefer odd numbers over even.

  11. When I was a kid my crummy bike hit a patch of gravel and staked the handlebars vertically, causing me to get jabbed in the chest by the bare metal pipe of the handlebar on my way down. It scraped downward and left a gnarly number 9, which scarred my chest for a few years before it faded. I really wish I still had that scar.

  12. No joke, I really liked 69 as a kid because I liked how it looked, it’s pleasing to the eye. Then one day I told my mom, and she yelled at me asking if it was a joke and telling me I can’t say that, then explaining that it was naughty. So ever since then I have changed my favorite number to 96.

  13. my cousin helped me make a screen name when I was younger. he asked me for my favorite fruit and put “swt” in front of it then asked me for a number. I noticed an abundance of 69s when watching them talk on aim so to be different I chose 96! oh to be young again..

  14. SAME Our teacher asked us what our favourite numbers were one time and when I said "69" half the class exploded and the teacher sent me to the principal's office. Long story short, they didn't believe when I said I didn't know and I got a 2 day suspension.

  15. It's just... a nice perfect number. Good to round by, makes a nice little crown when you have 5 items, and the default tick mark group size. Makes my brain feel nice lol

  16. I was scrolling down to find this. I don't really have a reason but I love number 5, and it's been present in important places in my life several times, so I feel linked to it. But I don't think of it as a lucky number.

  17. Thought I was gonna be alone in this one! 2 just seems to be just the right amount of almost everything, imo. I also see 2 and 22 everywhere in my life, for some reason. My school bus, locker number, apt number, employee ID number, etc. I'm always 2 or 22

  18. 11 because when I was younger, I would go “dad I have a question”. And my dad would say “the answer is 11”. And he would joke the answer to everything is 11

  19. I still, even this many years later, read that number as "leet" and remember typing out so much 13375p34k and feeling so cool. I remember signing off from some online games "gg, may the 1337 be with j00" non-ironically. What a flashback! Thanks for the nostalgia.

  20. Mine too. I would see it everywhere. Like when I look at a clock it would be something:11 Or 11 seconds left on the microwave. I once met a girl online who said that she noticed 11 a lot too and she happen to have the same birthday as me.

  21. The best number is 73. Why? 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror, 37, is the 12th and its mirror, 21, is the product of multiplying 7 and 3... In binary 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001.

  22. 3.14159 this is pi followed by 2653589 circumference over diameter 79323 omg cant u see 8462643 and now we’re on a spree 38 & 32 now we’re blue oh who knew 7950 and then a 2, 88 and 41, so much fun, now a run 971693993751 etc

  23. 21. 3 7's is jackpot and added up they make 21. 21 is also the highest score in Blackjack/21. My elementary school bus was also 21. Just seems like a number that's been present a lot in my life.

  24. 7. Most of my siblings' birthdays and mine were born on a date that is a multiple of 7, 7 kids. Seems to be an angel number for us.

  25. 4. But I despise the number 9. It thinks it’s so much better than the numbers below it because it’s the only single digit that’s closest to the number 10. Arrogant bastard.

  26. That sounds very interesting, I will certainly have to look into that. Do you have a good explanation document / video or something?
