Depends on where you live. Besides lessons and boarding I also have a 4-H club where the kids learn about horses and horse care, they also get very basic riding lessons for no charge...well, parents take turns bringing drinks and munchies for the kids. We also have a special Olympics Equestrian team that get their coaching for their annual competition for no charge. I'm a believer in allowing access to horses as often as I can
