I live near an old cemetery in what is now urban in Minneapolis. It got National Historic designation due to its occupants, but the whole cemetery is completely dilapidated. I can’t imagine there are any surviving relatives that even care anymore. It’s such a waste of space, and now they are constantly trying to find ways to maintain it.
