Why Legendary Economists Liked Universal Basic Income

  1. Milton friedman was in favor of the negative income tax, not UBI which is an amount of disposable income given to you based on how low is your income. But I think people will keep finding jobs like in every other disruption in history.

  2. People finding jobs isn't the problem. There will always be "jobs." Inequality is a problem of concentration of wealth and power and it's disruptive to democratic leadership and the economy. When wealth gets too concentrated, aggregate demand suffers.
