A commercial promoting NASCAR on TBS and NBC for the 2001 July Daytona Race shown during the 2000 UAW-GM Quality 500. This was shown before Turner changed to TNT as the broadcast channel carrying NASCAR coverage.

  1. TBS used to have the fall Charlotte race before the 01 tv deal, and it was a snowy channel on my cable back in the day (Canada, channel 33 I recall). Audio was good, picture was terrible/snowy. I watched the entire 500 miler in 1999 on it to see Gordon win his second straight after Evernham left and it gave me a headache.

  2. The playoffs made NASCAR go from the fastest growing sport in America to the fastest declining. They need to update the commercial for nascar playoffs on NBC. That hammering you hear is the sound of the nail of the final coffin
