The unfortunate fact that as humanity moves into space, the night sky will become unrecognizable from the number of satellites, rocket launches, and debris. At least some day the average person will be able to afford a vacation on Luna to see the night sky in all its glory.
Alternately, it may also help to motivate Astronomy to new heights by moving most new serious telescopes into space (through both necessity as well as the dramatic decrease in the cost of launching mass into orbit and beyond).
I wonder if starlink will evolve into little Dyson satellites in the future. Starlink brings the internet and starlink's technological grandchild will bring energy.
The netsphere is real.
As interesting as the the technology is, this will eventually ruin some of the beauty of astronomy.

I agree. They have no right.
This is the future. It’ll give access to the entire world
This is a fucking disaster.
Yay, hopefully this launch puts coverage on my cell, I'm only 2 degrees away from the nearest person with it :D
Gigabit fiber sound be $50 for everyone. Fuck starlink and fuck isps and mainly, fuck the govt
Unless you live where I do where the only thing you can get is some type of satellite internet
Starlink allowed my buddy in rural California to have high speed internet. He had no other options other than very expensive and slow satellite.
Yeah! Airplanes should get fiber too! You don’t know what the fuck you are talking about.
It should only be $50 in rural counties where your neighbors might be miles away?
