Safe to plug in SSD from previous build to retrieve data?

  1. It should be just fine. At best, it'll show up as a secondary drive. Even if it boots from that one, windows on that one will just act confused with the new hardware. It won't corrupt anything.

  2. Or you could plug a USB flash drive into your old PC, and copy over what you want. Then plug the USB flash drive into the new PC and copy everything to your new PC.

  3. This would work for the files I want to transfer but I also want to wipe the drive and I don't think I can do that unless I install it into another PC right?
