Post match: Saracens v Sale Sharks

  1. Even at 13 men it felt like Sale still wanted to try and beat us up front and it probably cost them a try - spreading wide against a backline two short is try time from a lineout maul.

  2. That was striking to me. Sale attacking narrowly even when they had numbers. Uncreative and counterproductive on their part, not that I'm complaining

  3. We’ve done enough that even if it’s the cup side for the next two weeks we’ve still got a good chance of being top when the cavalry return.

  4. The cancelled Wasps is conveniently in the international window too, plus Worcester away would’ve been the week after so a good rest for the internationals.

  5. Definitely, gives you so much around the park. I thought Ethan Lewis' throwing was slightly more accurate but he gives you less elsewhere

  6. No, it reminded me of the Quins semi final in that respect. A lot of hard work but baffling the opposition didn’t try to go wide more often.

  7. Head on head. Tompkins was always upright. Mitigated down from red as he was going backwards and the attacker spun in a way that the officials felt couldn't be expected.
